Selam!

My opinion is solely mine, and I cry in my heart everyday seeking the
God of Ethiopia not to let my people down as I try to defend only their
collective interest and security (not a single ethnic, religious, or political
entity) which remain under constant attack by the same elites like Dr.
Abdikasim whose letter eventually led me to discover what went wrong
in the politics of Ethiopia for that matter the entire region.

When I shared with you the two letters which otherwise by no means
you would have read them (not publicized) I have two reasons in my
mind.

Take for example the first letter, it was signed by the same person who
made a political career out of selling even his people’s interest to
promote an ill adviced policy crafted by Egypt and backed by the Arab
League whose current Secretary General is also an Egyptian to assure a
Pan Arab regional hegemony at the expense of Ethiopia.

Imagine, this man was a Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior
when he gave that order ( his ninth Ministerial position serving the
falling Siad Barre regime over twenty years ) that means he is part of
the problem which created the refugee crisis in the first place (
according to their 1987 estimate there were 800 thousands of Ethiopian
refugees in Somalia).

Their treatment of Ethiopian refugees, or Ethiopia is based on their post
independence policy of the unification of Somali territories. It was
extended to include the ethnic Somali populations living in Ethiopia,
Kenya and Djibouti. To achieve this they encouraged conflicts inside
Ethiopia and initiated mass immigration inorder to weaken the almost
similar Government in Ethiopia. By so doing they clandestinely assisted
Eritrean, Ogaden, Oromo movements. In those days one could easily
see in Mogadisho Shabia’s, TPLF’s, OLF’s, WSLF’s, Somali Abo’s
etc…leaders and activists enjoying diplomatic passport, offices,
houses, and other logistical support.

Today when Dr. Abdikasim condemns the Ethiopian gov’t he isn’t
condemning the same leaders whom he provided nice villa around
towfiq in Mogadisho. But, he meant Ethiopia.

Take the second letter by USC, you indicated earlier in your post that
you were a kid during that time span, but probably you’ve watched the
movie released after Sept. 11 called ‘ Black Hawk Down ‘, which is
based on true event took place in Mogadisho in 1993 when the
American troops try to capture USC’s leader General Farah Aideed. 18
US Rangers and thousands Somalis killed in the battle.

Since then Somalia went through many difficulties: factions after
factions, leaders after leaders whatever that means. However the
absolute majority Somalis remain powerless and voiceless. No one
counts anymore how many of our brothers and sisters in Somalia are
dying from war, disease, hunger and misery.

If any one deserves peace in this world,  it’s the poor Somalis in whose
name a very profitable political trade going on.
I don’t want to bore you, let me pause here for now.

Peace Be Unto You All!

"Unnecessary" Question of Ethiopians
" This writing is neither about the war in
Afghanistan, nor about the Canadian soldiers who
died there. It's rather about transparency and
accountability, above all a  respect for human being.
Why these things are eroded in my beloved country,
where an opponent's life is dispensable?....

Somalia: Arms race Vs Arms embargo
By Dereje Hailu Kassa | November 19,2008
" ...The first U.N. Security Council Resolution 733
which was adopted on January 23, 1992 a year after
President Siad Barre was toppled supposed to do
just that.  For anyone who closely follow the
situation in Somalia, it is clearly  understandable  that
what is lacking is not a new resolution,
