    Sudanese police and
    security forces started
    incursion on both
    Ethiopian and Eritrean
    refugees on July 5,
    2009. The police and
    military have given
    instructions to
    forcefully rob, attack
    and detain only
    Ethiopian and Eritrean
refugees and not to tolerate anyone during the process.

Ethiopian
Meles Zenawi and Eritrean Isaias Afworki faction leaders have
been separately consulting with Sudanese
Omar Hassan al-Bashir on
matters of common security. Sudanese Police Perform Incursion

The situation was confirmed by
UNHCR officer Teresa Ongaro. More
than 314 victims were recorded. Since Al Beshir's police and security
forces were given the command to perform incursion in the whole of
Sudan, and Ethiopian and Eritrean refugees in the Southern Sudan have
also been violated. The Southern Sudan authorities said the refugees are a
security threat in the region.

Both the Ethiopia and Eritrean factions used Sudan as their guerilla
military base during the struggle to power. After the communist regime
toppled, they took immediate action in attacking the Sudanese opposition
which had camped by Ethiopia-Sudan border.

After the
War in 1998, Ethiopia and Eritrea are still in dead lock. Each
country accuses one another of organizing oppositions to destabilize their
own country.

There are opposition parties in Ethiopia granting bases for the military
and propaganda struggle. Likewise Eritrea has also granted bases for
Ethiopian opposition parties.

The two countries' faction ruling leaders have a very intimate relationship
with President Omar Hassan al-Bashir of Sudan, who is an alleged
criminal by the
International Criminal Court for the atrocities he
committed in
Darfur.
