Dear Teodros

I watched your TV program "African Ascent" for the first
time where you discussed "Civility" with Professor
Stephanie Reich. I did find your introductory and
subsquent remarks and the responses of Professor Reich
most educational and very relevant to our current social
needs. You were both great. I thank you both for
tackling such important human dimension. I tend to
believe, having interacted with all kinds of groups
around the World, that all human beings do want to be
civil, but real life conditions created barriers from such
ideal conditions. Nevertheless, I would like to state
here that of all the children I have come across in the
World American children are the most courteous and
civil. This may be a surprise to to a lot of people, but i
have solid evidence to my conclusion. And it is also true
that Americans are the most respectful of individual
space, and also respectful of the presence of
strangers in their communities than any other group I
know of or have visited in the world.
My good friend Teodros, you are doing a marvelous job
with your exceptionally informative and wise program.
Because you have inspired me with your wonderful
guest, Professor Reich, I wanted to suggest to you a
topic for your next program on social issues: a topic
about Courage. I intend to watch your program
regularly. I thank you both for a most educational and
inspiring discussion.
